The CoxaFit ® PressFit cup PB is the result of years of experience with different press-fit cups.
The cup is flattened at the poles, so it results a good pressfit-anchoring. The cup will be implanted ready for normal acetabular bone metric and for very spongy acetabulum with 1 mm smaller than the reamer. By pole flattening there is a lowering of the cup, so that no undesired cavity remains between the socket bottom and the acetabulum, which also one lateralization of head center is avoided compared to the preoperative planning.
The surface has a coating of pure titanium powder for increasing the surface and for generating a bone healing favorable porosity. Additionally, the cups get the hydroxyapatite coating of the third generation (Bonit ®), in order to improve bone healing again.
